Step inside 15th century West Sussex home

Living room with exposed beams

The vast expanse of wooden beams and panels in the living room is broken up with classic furniture like this white sofa.

Dining room

An old refectory table sits in this impressive dining room with mismatched dining chairs creating a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere.  A colourful chandelier sits above the table adding understated elegance.

Living room

In order to mix old and new, the owners chose to offset period windows with modern sofas.  An imposing stone fireplace is balanced out with a neutral carpet and coffee table, made from a butchers block.

Modern country kitchen

An eclectic touch is added in the kitchen with a chunky wooden butcher block acting as a kitchen island. Floating shelves act as practical storage and as a perfect place to show off decorative tableware and crockery.

Guest bedroom

This French-inspired guest bedroom is kept simple, with accents of navy blue in the soft furnishings. The main focus lies above the headboard, with a simple photograph in an ornate frame facing an elaborate and ornate glass chandelier.

White bedroom

A black and white bedroom scheme compliments the beautiful wooden features, like the door panelling and the exposed beams. Simple white bedlinen keeps the room light and airy, while a decorative chandelier adds interest.

Children's bedroom

A classic nautical-inspired boy's bedroom is created using shades of blue and beach signs.  Photo canvases and wooden letters help to make the space more personal.

Bathroom

A slipper bath is a focal point in this bathroom. It's complimented by neutral mosaic tiles, and metal lettering around the top of the room. Statement ladder storage keeps the look contemporary.
